Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality

Strategic Work

PDREC works to ensure that the needs of the region's BME community are not omitted or ignored in
corporate and regional strategies, and that these strategies carefully consider the specific needs of BME residents.

We have attended and given advice on and to several local strategy groups, networks and are members of several consortiums including:

- The Devon and Cornwall Police Lay Advisory Group
- Youth offending Service, Plymouth
- Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue
- Race Relations Partnership at HM Prison, Dartmoor

- College of St Mark and St John Professional Youth and Community Forum
- Devon Advocacy Consortium Board
- Housing with Respect Consortium, Plymouth
